About the founder

Urvashi Naik

Urvashi Naik is a passionate young professional and a learning enthusiast. She held the first rank in diploma of International Trade Management from NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialisation in Finance. Beginning her career as an International Business Executive, she was instrumental in expanding the businesses of SMEs across various industries. She has developed extensive knowledge in the fields of international trade and marketing and related procedures, documentation and finance.

Besides good interpersonal and leadership skills, she possesses strong market research skills that allow her to effectively interpret market trends and implement business development strategies for global target markets.

Nothing satisfies her more than meeting new people, solving problems, and contributing to the growth of businesses. As a proud feminist, she advocates women’s empowerment and the right to equal opportunities. She believes that nations and communities can only truly succeed when their women succeed. Through Vibrant Women, she aspires to make a valuable contribution towards the upliftment of women worldwide.

Dr Jagat Shah

Dr Jagat Shah holds a PhD in International Business, is a Diamond technologist, a UNIDO certified cluster development specialist, and a Certified management consultant (CMC) from ICMCI in the United States.

The philosophy of his life is ‘Action at the speed of thought.’ ​

He has more than 24 years of experience in international trade consulting, market research, business-to-business matchmaking, innovation, investment promotion, women’s empowerment, smart villages, and cluster building. As an ardent ‘Roadie’, he combines his passion for the road and international trade and development through his not-for-profit initiative, ’Mentor on Road’ (https://www.mentoronroad.com/).

Over the past three decades, he has worked on both short & long term projects in India, USA, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Turkey, Egypt, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, France, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Afghanistan. He has organised, led, and hosted trade and investment delegations from India to over 40 nations.

His expertise lies across several industry verticals including engineering, automotive, agriculture, food processing, infrastructure, handicrafts, textiles, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, electronics, construction, renewable energy, biotech, aviation, transport, tourism, ICT, education & environment.

He is currently working on several initiatives including the following:

  1. From proving field inputs to leading the projects of Make in India, Skill India, Startup India, Stand up India, Digital India, Clean India & Smart India.
  1. 60 Plus Life – an initiative that redeploys retired people to productive work 
  1. Smart Village – Converting 62 villages in India into smart villages in 1000 days (www.smartvillage.biz )

He has been the foreign representative of the Government of Manitoba, Canada in India while also holding the following positions:

He affirms that his most challenging project was in Afghanistan, where he trained and connected 18,000 carpet weavers, 6000 dried fruit producers, and 2000 women in handicrafts to worldwide markets. He believes that if good change can be achieved in Afghanistan, it can be achieved in any country or region.

300+ of his articles and blogs have been published in the worldwide press, and he has been interviewed by all of the world’s leading television networks. He has had the pleasure to speak at a number of foreign business schools, using it as an opportunity to inspire and motivate the youth in taking an active part in the growth of the global economy. He is a Rotarian and serves as the managing trustee of two charity trusts. He is an ardent advocate of women’s empowerment and sustainable living.
